FAAC Features

We start evening classes at 7 PM sharp and morning classes at 10 AM sharp.

However, you may arrive late and/or leave early.

It's totally up to you.

We've adopted a true free-style format to the proceedings!

There is no requirement to participate in any class activity.

You may sit in the back and merely observe.

Enjoy the show!

We are open to the public--no exclusive memberships here!

No admission fee or tuition--absolutely FREE!

(Donations of any size are greatly appreciated--receptacle next to Guest Book.)

Attendees must be at least 18 years of age. (Sorry, no day-care available.)

Our main focus is acting in community theatre.

We currently work within a bi-monthly, perpetual, rotating schedule of these 5 Main Topics:

Auditions, Rehearsals, Character Development, Stage Presence and Performances.

Each class is 3 1/2 hours long.

(For the sequence of usual events, click on the Activities link above.)

We break twice, roughly at the top of each hour.

(Otherwise, we use every minute of the 3 1/2 hours--and it goes by fast!)

We're into our 4th year!

We've been conducting classes since January of 2013

and have built up an "FAAC Roster" of  171  people--and growing!

Some attend regularly.

Some attend occasionally.

Some return after a long absence.

You never know who will show up!

Class attendance is currently 12-16 with 3-4 new people per class.

(The "pie" is getting bigger!)

Class makeup is approximately 2/3 returning attendees and 1/3 new attendees.

Our performance area is approximately 12' width x 8' depth.

We use LED stage lights to simulate an actual performance experience.

We use minimal set pieces, costuming and props.

Seating is festival style; sturdy and comfortably padded; accommodating 35+.

We are the only free adult acting class in the entire state of Washington--and beyond!

FAAC Benefits

We include content that would cost hundreds of dollars for a college-accredited class.

We change lives!

People who could barely stand up and say their name, in time, develop:

1. Public speaking skills,

2. Learn lines,

3. Deliver consummate performances onstage before an audience,

4. Build confidence that enhances and enriches their personal lives--for the rest of their lives!

We provide an induction opportunity to various theatre-support and volunteer functions.

We facilitate volunteer involvement onstage, backstage and offstage.

We announce auditions for future shows.
